Mira Gregorič, born in Carinthia/Koroška, has been surrounded by music since she was a child. At the age of four, she received her first violin lessons at the "Glasbena šola na Koroškem / Carinthian Music School" and then went to the Carinthian State Conservatory with Prof. Helfried Fister. She completed her bachelor's degree in music and movement pedagogy/rhythm with a focus on the first instrument violin and musical improvisation at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with distinction. During her studies, she also completed the course "Improvisation in String Lessons" at the Anton Bruckner Private University, where she then completed her master's degree in instrumental pedagogy jazz and improvised music - violin with Prof. Andreas Schreiber in 2021 with a focus on improvisation 2, interdisciplinary module and world music. As a musician and composer, she plays in several formations, including Duo Sonoma, with whom the debut album "DUO SONOMA I" was released in spring 2021. She is also active in the field of performing arts, and in summer 2020 she created the artistic short film "UNSHACKLED EPISODES" with the dancer Mirjam Sadjak.
